Becoming a Christian
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”Romans 10:13
There is truly nothing as beautiful in simplicity as the the plan for salvation through Jesus Christ!
In college, I recall my economics professor emphasizing that there is no such thing a free lunch. While that may be true in the world of commerce, we can rejoice in the only really free gift the world has ever seen. That gift is the sure hope of eternal life in Heaven with our Savior.
Salvation is simple:
1. All humans are sinners with no hope of achieving eternal life on our own.
2. God sent His Son Jesus to this earth and He died as a sacrifice for us.
3. Belief in this act of grace is the only requirement for salvation.
So this gift of God’s is free. All you need to do is accept it.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”John 3:16
